Mayoral aide Kristal Grida has received mild slaps on the wrist for repeat offenses.

For the past couple of years, there have been complaints of sexual harassment and overtly sexual comments stemming from Kristal Grida, the aide for Euclid, Ohio Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail.

According to Gail, the matter has already been addressed and dealt with, but somehow, Grida is still working for the mayor as her top aide at the City of Euclid. This has left many people wondering what exactly her punishment was, and if it is was significant enough.

When a reporter from a local news station asked Gail about the matter, the mayor said, “We followed our disciplinary policies and discipline was administered.”

But when Mayor Gail was pressed further about the discipline that was implemented, she said, “I’m not going to comment on personnel matters,” before walking away.

The local news station obtained a disciplinary letter from a public records request. It stated Grida was simply moved from one department to another, while still maintaining her position as the right-hand-woman to the mayor. Ultimately, the letter showed that Grida transitioned from the Housing Department to the Neighborhood Engagement and Community Building Department.

Following Monday night’s city council meeting, Grida was approached, but barely had any words on the issue: “I don’t really have anything to say.”

But Councilman Daryl Langman had plenty to say: “I’m afraid that because this is going on, this is the mayor’s top lieutenant, that they went easy on her.”

Councilman Langman says he wants to know more about what went on inside the 2017 internal investigation.

The city’s sexual harassment policy was found inside Grida’s personnel file four times – all of which she signed.

The 2017 letter said Grida did not deny any of these allegations. At this time, the mayor was still getting complaints about her.
