More and more information and opinions pour in as the impeachment inquiry intensifies.

As US democrats continue leading the Trump impeachment inquiries, some people have come forward who claim to have firsthand knowledge of the moments leading up to the investigation.

Ambassador Kurt Volker, the former US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations, was on the phone call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. According to Volker, there was no reference to bribery, quid pro quo or extortion. He says this was an effort to pressure the Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.

“In retrospect, I should’ve seen that connection differently, and had I done so, I would’ve raised my own objections,” said Volker.

But republicans argue that these hearings have merely been based on hearsay and gossip.

President Trump says, “All these people are talking about they heard a conversation of a conversation of another conversation that was had by the president. What’s going on is a disgrace.”

Former National Security Council official Tim Morrison was also on the phone call. He says, “I feared at the time of the call on July 25 how its disclosure would play at the time of Washington’s political climate. My fears have been realized.”

Democrats are ultimately trying to make the case that President Trump offered millions in military aid to Ukraine in order to persuade them to investigate Joe Biden and his son.

“Right now, you have a kangaroo court,” said President Trump. “I just got to watch, and the republicans are absolutely killing it. They are doing so well because it’s a scam, it’s a big scam.”

Republicans insist that democrats are grasping at straws in the hopes of looking for whatever flaws they can find to impeach President Trump. The president maintains that all along, his goal has been to weed out corruption.

According to Rep. Jim Jordan, “We’ve yet to have one witness to tell us that any evidence from anyone that President Zelensky did anything on investigations to get the aid released.”

President Trump tweeted that it was a great day for republicans and a great day for America.
