Let’s hope she likes wine.

Jenna Bush Hager has been announced as Kathie Lee Gifford’s replacement on ‘Today,’ NBC’s morning news and infotainment show. Gifford plans to leave the show in April.

The fourth hour of ‘Today’ is known for a lighter tone that includes day drinking and a healthy dose of banter. Bush Hager has filled in for both of the co-hosts before, so she’s hardly a stranger to the cast and crew.

Bush Hager has been a correspondent for NBC News for around a decade now, but of course first came to national attention as the daughter of President George W. Bush and granddaughter of President George H.W. Bush. She has landed a number of interviews with her family for the ‘Today’ show and other NBC news programs.

This comes less than a year after Chris Cuomo was given a prime-time show for CNN, just before his brother Andrew Cuomo was re-elected as governor of New York State, a position previously held by their father, Mario Cuomo. Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Senator and presidential candidate John McCain, is a member of another day news and opinion program, ABC’s ‘The View.’ No conflicts of interest have been reported by CNN, NBC, or ABC News.

Everyone raise a glass to congratulate Jenna on her new gig!
