Watch out, kids. Just because you vape when no one’s around, and just because you cover it with a sweet-smelling flavor, doesn’t mean you’re going to get away with vaping behind your parents’ back. Some parents have turned to lab companies for tests to see if their kids have been sneaking nicotine into their system.

Vaping is considered a safer alternative to cigarettes by some people, but experts say vaping still has plenty of negative side effects. The point of it is still the nicotine, of course, which can increase heart rate and blood pressure. It can even affect your memory. And at the end of the day, nicotine is an addictive chemical. So it makes sense that parents might worry about teenagers using it.

Well now they can find out if their child has nicotine in their system by using in-lab tests… or even just jumping on the Internet to buy a home test. Being sneaky may not help anymore.
