The Oklahoma children injured in a crossfire are on their way to recovery.

Several weeks ago, three children, all under the age of five years old, suffered gunshot wounds to the head in an officer-involved shooting. Fortunately, all three children are okay and the mother of four is receiving a generous donation from several companies who teamed together after hearing the tragic story.

Two police officers unintentionally shot three of Olivia Hill’s four children in the head when they opened fire on a robbery suspect in Hugo on April 26. The kids were inside her pickup truck that the suspect was driving.

According to authorities, the suspect tried to run over the officers, which is when they opened fire. Unfortunately, they were not aware that young children were inside the vehicle.

The three children were shot in the head and hospitalized in Tulsa. Their injuries have been stabilized, and they have since been released.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating the situation while the two officers who opened fire are on paid administrative leave.

According to local news sources, the family will receive a minivan today. The donors believe this will help Hill make doctors’ trips for her children as they continue to recover from their injuries related to the shooting.
