A burpee is where you do a push-up, stand up jump, do another push-up and so on, if you didn’t know.

There was a big feat of strength today for a man in Milford, Bryan Abell, broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the most burpees in a day.

Abell is in the army and spent 12 hours doing these burpees. He did 4,689 of them with a goal of 4,500. It’s safe to say, he made his goal.

Abell’s sister says this was a way to raise money and awareness for their Stronger Warrior Foundation.

“Our mission is to help active and retired military men and women,” said Katelyn Abell. “We have three different distinct programs. We have a financial aid program, a scholarship program, and then we have a Sponsor Warrior program.”

The organization makes and fills crates to send overseas for active-duty military members. They raised over $1,300 for their cause.
