The ‘Breaking Bad’ movie rumors were only confirmed weeks ago and was billed as a spin-off film for Aaron Paul’s character Jesse Pinkman. But a new cast list has led to speculation about some of the characters from the original show whose appearance might be a little surprising.
The cast list includes Jonathan Banks, Jesse Plemons, Krysten Ritter, and “the danger” himself, Bryan Cranston. It shouldn’t be a spoiler considering the nature of the show to say that not all of those actors’ characters made it through the end of the show. That brings up a whole lot of questions about the nature of the show, like where in the timeline of the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe will the new story take place? Will the dearly departed characters just make a quick cameo in a flashback?
I have to admit I’ll be a little disappointed if the whole story takes place during the TV show’s timeline. I’m genuinely curious where our good old friend Jesse has ended up.
There’s no word yet on when the film will be coming out, but in the meantime you can fill your hankering for the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe with ‘Better Call Saul.’ That’s the original spin-off starring Bob Odenkirk’s sleazy lawyer character, Saul Goodman.
