There’s no pair more classic than cops and donuts.

Today, you can have the opportunity to support a good cause and get your hands (and mouth) on a donut with Special Olympics Missouri’s ‘Cop on a Rooftop’ event.

Dunkin’ Donuts is partnering with law enforcement to raise money for the Special Olympics. Police officers are on the rooftops of donut stores across Kansas City to get your attention and spark some interest. These donuts are decorated with white and red frosting to represent the colors of Special Olympics Missouri.

When you come in and donate, you’ll instantly get a coupon for a free donut. When you donate $10 or more, you’ll get a free mug (while supplies last) along with a coupon for a free hot coffee.

This fundraiser is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run campaign to raise awareness and money for Special Olympics.

The Special Olympics is the largest sports organization in the country, designed to give children and young adults with disabilities an outlet for skill-building, confidence, and an opportunity to tear down any stigmas associated with their disability.

One Special Olympics participant says her favorite part about coming to these events is interacting with so many new people and having fun winning medals for her favorite sports.

Cops will be on the rooftops until noon CDT across locations in Missouri today.
