Amazon just took one step closer to truly offering everything to their shoppers and Prime members, with live fresh-cut Christmas trees. That’s right, they’re planning on offering something that you would never think you could have shipped to your front door for the holidays.

Before you get too excited and hop on Amazon to snag your tree, there’s a couple of things you need to know about their new service. Is delivered by FedEx in a heavy box and needs to be signed for.

They offer a variety of sizes with price ranges starting from $20 and going as high as $110. Amazon is also guaranteeing that all the trees will be delivered within 10 days of cutting.

The sizes range from 6-7 feet in height and reviews that confirm the tree is so fresh that they can smell it through the box when delivered. They offer a variety of trees from the Hallmark Flowers brand including Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Black Hill Spruce (Sno-tip), and Black Hills Spruce.

All of the trees are sourced from Michigan and North Carolina, with free shipping for all Amazon members. The trees start shipping today with two business days for processing and maximum five days for shipping.

Initial reviews say that unboxing the tree caused a lot of pine needles to spill, but this is to be expected with any Christmas tree. They also recommend to cut an inch off of the end of the tree before mounting so it absorbs water better, for a long-lasting tree.

Aside from the recommended cutting of the end and having to buy your own tree stand, the Amazon tree is proving to be a new alternative tree service.
