Legendary animation studio Pixar announced the name and cast for their next original project. This will be their first entirely original script since 2017’s ‘Coco.’

The film is simply titled ‘Onward,’ and will star Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, and Tom Holland. Holland, being the lovable scamp he is, was actually the one who first announced the existence of the project on his Instagram, though his post divulged no details beyond the title.

As of the official announcement, we do have a few details on the plot. The film is set in a suburban fantasy setting, and, according to its logline, follows “two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.” That’s all we know for now, but you might find this interesting: Chris Pratt was allowed to read the film’s initial script and was, by his own admission on Twitter, brought to tears. Not surprising, considering Pixar actually requires all of their films to provoke strong emotions in viewers, but still a good sign of quality nonetheless.

Disney and Pixar are shooting for a March 6th, 2020 release for ‘Onward.’
