No causalities have yet been reported.

Early this morning, St. Clair Shores Police surrounded a home on St. Margaret Street near 13 Mile after reports that a man with a gun started firing shots after fireworks went off.

The situation was serious enough for the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad to show up. A tank was also seen driving up to the door of the home; tear gas was thrown inside.

Before that point, local news crews say they heard gunshots. Neighbors say this all started after the man expressed his disappointment about the fireworks going off. Residents in the area say he was visibly upset about what was happening outside for the Fourth of July.

According to those neighbors, that man came out of his home and fired shots, reportedly hurting people.

Those injuries are considered non-life threatening, but news sources made it clear that this information is all coming from neighbors and no official authorities. St. Clair Shores Police have not commented further on the situation, nor confirmed any information.

The standoff situation also created trouble for those residents trying to get back into their neighborhood after celebrating the Fourth of July. Police did not let anybody in for their own safety.
