A currently undisclosed woman was the victim of a sudden hit and run.

A woman was killed in Long Beach, California after a driver hit her with a vehicle and then took off. The incident took place around 25th Street and Pacific Avenue. Police have two people detained in connection with this incident.

Sky cams showed that police had pulled over an SUV, and local news crews believe this was the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident last night.

Local authorities were able to track the SUV down because of the vehicle’s debris that remained at the crash site. Though police have two people in custody, they have not released any more details about who those people are.

As for the victim, the only information that’s being made public so far is that she was a woman in her 30s. She was apparently crossing the street around 9:30 p.m. when she was hit. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local news stations are still waiting for the woman to be identified and to discover if she was from that area or nearby. Police have reopened the road after having it closed off for a greater portion of the morning.

Authorities are still investigating this incident and they’re asking anyone with information to come forward.
